Why Air Duct Cleaning?

GEO 10.jpg

Improve Indoor Air Quality

Remove built-up dust, allergens, and other contaminants, preventing them from recirculating through your home.

Lower Energy Costs

With fewer blockages and better airflow, your system can reach and maintain your desired temperature more efficiently, using less energy. This lowers costs and helps your HVAC system operate more smoothly, extending its lifespan.

Enhance HVAC Efficiency

Cleaning your ducts clears buildup, allowing air to flow freely and easing the workload on your HVAC system, enhancing efficiency and performance.

Reduce Allergies & Respiratory Issues

Airborne pollutants from dirty ducts can exacerbate allergies and respiratory problems. Regular duct cleaning removes these irritants, creating a healthier living environment for your family.

Eliminate Unpleasant Odors

Contaminants in your ducts can produce musty or stale odors. Professional cleaning eliminates these sources, leaving your home smelling fresh.

Proactive Maintenance

Duct cleaning is a simple, cost-effective way to invest in the long-term health of your space and enjoy peace of mind knowing your environment is clean and efficient. Create a space that’s not only more efficient but also healthier for everyone.

Our Cleaning Process

1

Pre Inspection:

  • Conduct an initial assessment of your duct system and identify problem areas, such as heavy dust buildup or mold growth

  • Based on the inspection findings, we determine which specialized equipment will be needed for optimal results.

  • This step ensures that we understand your specific needs and develop an effective cleaning strategy tailored to your home or business

2

Preparation:

  • Our equipment is set up in strategic locations for maximum efficiency

  • Necessary access points are created allowing us to clean every corner of your duct system thoroughly, even hard-to-reach areas.

  • The HVAC system is turned off and all vent openings are covered to begin the negative air process. Keeping your space free of contaminants during the cleaning.

3

Duct Cleaning:

  • We utilize Air Care negative air and contact cleaning vacuums to remove accumulated debris, dust, allergens, and other contaminants from your duct system.

  • Beginning at the highest point and working downward, every supply and return duct opening will be carefully and individually cleaned. Leaving your system spotless and operating at its best.

  • Our highly skilled technicians are dedicated to delivering meticulous cleaning services while prioritizing your satisfaction. With years of experience, Upstate technicians confidently handle even the toughest duct cleaning challenges, maintaining the highest standards and fostering trust through exceptional service.

4

Sanitization:

  • Sanitization is an optional but highly recommended step in the duct cleaning process, especially for households dealing with allergens, odors, or microbial contaminants like mold.

  • We use environmentally safe and non-toxic disinfectant approved by the EPA for use in HVAC systems. Applied with a fogging machine that creates a fine mist and evenly coats the interior surfaces of your ductwork.

  • Sanitization leaves your clean ducts with a fresh, pleasant scent and ensures they are free of harmful contaminants. It also adds a protective layer to inhibit future microbial growth, providing long-lasting peace of mind and healthier air quality.

5

Final Inspection:

  • The HVAC system is turned on to ensure everything is running smoothly and no obstructions remain.

  • Our technicians double-check every cleaned duct to ensure no dust, debris, or contaminants remain. Also making certain that the area is left exactly as we found it, maintaining the cleanliness of your space.

  • Throughout the cleaning process, we take pictures of the ductwork to ensure every duct is fully cleaned and to provide clear before-and-after comparisons. This approach ensures complete transparency, boosts your confidence in the quality of our work, and offers a visual record for future maintenance needs.

Heading 1

  • Do I have to be worried about overspray or sealcoat getting on my garage door?
We carefully hand apply our sealcoat and use an edging brush around the garage, sidewalk, paver blocks, etc. to assure there is never any mess.
  • What kind of sealcoat do you use?
    Asphalt Emulsion- Crafco or Sealmaster
  • How long do I have to stay off the driveway?
1 day before you can walk 2 days before you can drive (bigger vehicles or trucks should wait 3 days)
  • Does asphalt maintenance really extend my pavements lifespan?
Yes, regular asphalt maintenance can increase pavement lifespan by up to 30%
  • How do you treat cracks?
First, we metal wire brush the cracks and blow them free of vegetation and debris. Then, a heat lance (air compressor & torch) is used to finish prepping the cracks. A heat lance also helps the crack fill adhere to the interior crack walls. Once prep is complete, hot rubberized crack fill is applied between 380-400 degrees to give an airtight seal to the cracks and prevent water from entering and causing further damage.
  • How often should I utilize asphalt maintenance services?
Every 2-3 years is perfect Newly paved asphalt we recommend sealcoating 6-12 months after being laid, again one year later and then 2-3 years after that.
